The Business School brings together a world-class faculty, top-notch students, and influential business partners. Located on the Downtown Denver Campus in one of America’s most vibrant urban centers, just steps from the Denver Center for Performing Arts, the LoDo District, and the state capitol. With classes offered during the day, in the evening, and online, the Business School is the largest graduate school of business in the region and the first choice of business professionals; undergraduate business programs are recently revised and rapidly growing.
The Marketing area of the Business School of the University of Colorado Denver invites applications for a Visiting Professor of Marketing (Open Rank). The start date for this position is August 2024. The appointment is for one year but may be extended depending on department needs and budgetary approvals.
Visiting Professor of Marketing
What you will do:
The successful candidate exhibits a record of accomplishment with high-quality peer-reviewed published academic research in marketing. The position consists of teaching, research, and service (negotiable). The normal teaching load consists of 4-6 courses per year. Classes assigned are in an on-campus, online, or hybrid format during the day and evening, depending on departmental or program needs. The successful candidate is expected to reside in the Denver metro area during their time under contract.
Qualifications you already possess (Minimum Qualifications)
- A Ph.D. or DBA in Marketing from an AASCB university before the position’s start date.
- Prior or current university positions at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor position at an AACSB school.
Preferred Qualification to possess (Preferred Qualifications)
- Demonstrated effectiveness in research, as evidenced by at minimum two publication(s) in high-quality refereed journals in the Australian ABCD List (preferably at the A and or A* level in the ABDC List) in the last five years.
- Two years (equivalent to 4 semesters) of successful teaching experience at the university level before, during, or after the doctoral program.
Competencies
The candidate should have a demonstrated ability to successfully teach primarily graduate level marketing foundations courses and marketing specialization courses in various modalities as supported by successful teaching activities in marketing courses as well as syllabi, university teaching evaluations, and references.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $150,000-175,000.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.
