Job Description
The Assistant/Associate Professor of Marketing, School of Business position shall have the primary responsibilities of teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, research/creative achievement, recruitment and service functions, and shall be held accountable for these obligations as they contribute to the attainment of the mission of the university, school, and department. The Assistant Professor of Marketing, School of Business position reports to the Assistant Dean, Graduate Programs. This position is housed at the Lincoln Memorial University Cedar Bluff site in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Required Qualifications
A Ph.D. in Marketing or related terminal degree from a regionally accredited institution; *Demonstrated effective practical or graduate and undergraduate teaching experience; *dissertation committee experience.
Preferred Qualifications
*evidence of effective teaching and scholarly activity; *demonstrated success as a committee member or chairperson of student dissertations; *evidence of knowledge relating to both quantitative and qualitative research procedures.

Job Duties
- promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students, and to the community at large;
- promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff, and students;
- participate on university committees;
- maintain proper security for all university files and information and follow privacy procedures at all times;
- maintain records and procedures for duties and responsibilities of position;
- complete required institutional, program accreditation, and other reports necessary for the advancement of university programs, both on campus and at extended campus sites;
- assist in recruitment, enrollment management, and enrollment growth for marketing programs;
- must serve on dissertation committees as a member and/or dissertation chairperson;
- undertake the “Standard Instructional/Research/Service Workload” as outlined in the Faculty/Staff Policy Manual;
- provide course and classroom conduct as outlined in the Faculty/Staff Policy Manual;
- comply with the university Faculty/Staff Policy Manual teach and be assigned undergraduate/and/or graduate courses based on course needs;
- provide academic advisement of students;
- conduct a minimum of six in-person office hours on a weekly basis;
- submit textbook requests;
- ensure School compliance with the standards of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and the Accrediting Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP);
- comply with announced requirements;
- engage in professional development;
- support the development, implementation, evaluation and preparation of annual reports of the Strategic Plan as related to their department and academic programs within the school;
- serve as mentor to graduate students,
- fulfill the university’s scholarship expectation through research, publication, grant development, and creative achievement;
- fulfill the School of Business’s scholarship expectation through research, publication, grant development, and creative achievement;
- assess, assist, and guide face-to-face full time and adjunct faculty under the direction of the assistant dean and dean;
- provide information for enrollment, assessment, retention reports to the dean as directed by the chair and dean,
- provide committee service;
- attend department, school, and university faculty meetings;
- participate in community and public service opportunities;
- attend commencement activities;
- participate in annual faculty evaluation;
- perform other duties as assigned.
