The School of Business & Technology at Emporia State University invites applications for one tenure-track position in Marketing at the assistant professor level. Candidates should be prepared to teach a variety of marketing courses. Ability/willingness to teach online classes (including accelerated online classes) is required. The position is housed in the AACSB-accredited School of Business & Technology and begins August 2024.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The candidate’s main role will entail instructing undergraduate and graduate courses in Marketing and other related subjects, covering a range of topics including principles of marketing, international marketing, marketing analytics, and marketing research.
  • In addition to delivering exceptional teaching, candidates must also demonstrate a commitment to conducting and publishing high-quality scholarly research and engaging in service activities that align with ESU’s mission, benefiting both the University and the broader business community.
  • This is a fulltime tenure-track position, 9-month appointment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Candidates must have completed or anticipate completing a doctorate on or before August 2025 from a professionally-accredited business program or closely related field.
  • Relevant teaching (including online instruction) or industry experience is a plus.
  • Candidates must have a personal and professional commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Emporia State’s AACSB-accredited School of Business & Technology.

COMPENSATION:

  • Salary: $94,000 – $97,000 annually based on experience or additional qualifications.
