Position Summary:

Arkansas State University is now accepting applications for a one year, full-time, nine-month, Visiting Assistant Professor/Visiting Instructor of Marketing position in the Department of Management, Marketing, and Supply Chain. This position begins August 2024

The Visiting Assistant Professor/Visiting Instructor of Marketing will teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses preferably in marketing analytics, digital marketing, sales and/or other specialty areas

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses and service activities of the department and college. The responsibilities of the position support the mission and goals of the Neil Griffin College of Business and Department of Management, Marketing and Supply Chain
  • Each member of the faculty has the duty to deliver instruction and maintain a learning environment consistent with the highest standards of the profession
  • The faculty has a responsibility to set degree requirements, assess when they are met, and establish and maintain curricula that meet professional standards and fulfill the educational goals of the university
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing

Research, teaching and/or professional experience in marketing analytics, professional sales, advertising, promotions, digital marketing, predictive marketing analytics, social media marketing, and data analytics is valued

General Days/Hours:

Classes are taught face-to-face and/or online
Traditional classes are scheduled:
Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. &
Monday – Thursday evenings 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Additional hours as requested and/or needed
Regular and reliable attendance

Preferred Qualifications:
Record of quality teaching both face-to-face and online

Minimum Qualifications:

An earned Ph.D. in marketing or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited school. ABDs from an AACSB-accredited school or an MBA with industry experience will also be considered if completed by August 2024
