The Department of Marketing and Supply Chain at the University of Kentucky is pleased to invite applications for a tenure-eligible position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level in our Special Title Series with a preferred start date of August 2024.
Position Description
This Special Title Series faculty position in the Department of Marketing & Supply Chain involves instruction at the Master’s level including teaching in our Masters of Science in Marketing program, the MBA program, and at the undergraduate level.
Experience managing individual capstone projects is required. A demonstrated research record with publications in the elite journals in our field and an active research agenda is necessary. Experience in developing curriculum, recruiting students, and directing a Master’s program is desirable. This position also includes service to the department, college, and university.
This is a tenure track, Special Title Series position, at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor depending on the qualifications of the candidate. The criteria for promotion from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor and Full Professor follow the criteria established in 2023 for Special Title Series faculty at the University of Kentucky, Department of Marketing & Supply Chain. These criteria relate to productivity in teaching, research, and service at the levels of Assistant, Associate, and Professor.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
This Special Title Series position requires:
1) Teaching: The faculty member will be responsible for teaching the New Product Development Capstone in the Master’s in Marketing program, Marketing Strategy in the MBA program, the Marketing Strategy capstone and Marketing Research at the undergraduate level.
2) Administration: The faculty member will be the Director of the Master’s in Marketing program with responsibilities related to the curriculum and student recruitment.
3) Research/Scholarly Activity: The faculty member will perform scholarly activities commensurate with this Special Title Series appointment. These include publishing scholarly research in the elite journals in Marketing and having an active research agenda.
4) Service: The faculty member will serve on department, college, and university committees.
