About the Role 
Join our dynamic School of Business, Law and Entrepreneurship as a Lecturer, Marketing and embark on an exciting journey of academic excellence, professional growth and make a significant impact in the field of marketing education and research. You will contribute to our school’s mission “to advance innovation, entrepreneurship and social impact through our career-ready graduates and industry-engaged research”.

The Department of Management and Marketing prides itself on delivering personalized education of the highest quality. In this role, you will prepare and deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and workshops to both on-campus and online students. Your expertise will be crucial in assessing students’ progress and providing valuable feedback. Additionally, you will play a vital role in the development and support of academic programs, contributing to program change and innovation. 

Alongside your teaching responsibilities, you will assume administrative tasks associated with your role, ensuring a well-rounded and fulfilling experience. You will act as a mentor to students by providing them with guidance and support to navigate their academic journey as well as having the opportunity to nurture the next generation of marketing professionals by supervising honours, masters, and PhD students.

About You  
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: 

  • Demonstrated ability to undertake teaching, associated administrative duties, coordination and curriculum development at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.  In particular, demonstrated ability to teach in the relevant business discipline
  • Demonstrated commitment to leading edge/best practice education, including blended learning formats, online teaching and the use of case studies, role-plays and/or simulations in the learning environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to research in the university context, a capacity in the use of a variety of research methods and a track record of publishing in discipline relevant quality academic journals   
  • High level of oral and written communication skills in dealing with students, university staff and contacts in the outside business environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work productively and cooperatively with others in a team environment and an ability to manage the teaching team

Qualifications

  • An earned doctoral qualification in the relevant discipline or a related field (Essential)
  • A teaching qualification (Preferred)
  • Membership of an appropriate professional body (Preferred)
