Description & Details:

Teach marketing-related courses for the Department of Management and Marketing. This position is in the area of Marketing with the primary interests in digital marketing/analytics, marketing strategy or sales. For a lecturer, the normal teaching load is eight three-credit courses per academic year. For an assistant professor of practice, the normal teaching load is six three-credit courses per academic year. The assistant professor of practice position also has expectations to conduct and publish research in business/marketing fields and provide service to the university and business community.

Work Schedule:

9 month, contracted 
40 hrs/week

Advertised Salary:

$75,000+ annually, commensurate with experience

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree or higher in business or marketing-related disciplines (ABD will be considered)
  • Meet academic faculty qualification standards for accreditation (NDSU College of Business Faculty Qualification Standards are available at https://www.ndsu.edu/business/about/aacsb/)
  • Ability to teach in more than one area in marketing
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment
  • Ability to interact and collaborate effectively with diverse colleagues and students

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D./DBA in business/marketing or marketing-related disciplines (ABD in advanced stages will be considered)
  • Record of quality teaching in business/marketing
  • Demonstrated ability to perform academic research in business/marketing
  • Demonstrated substantive and recent professional or academic experience
  • Interest and ability to teach across multiple areas of marketing, including digital marketing/analytics, marketing strategy and sales
