The A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University is seeking applicants for a non-tenure system faculty position (Professor of Practice or Lecturer) in Marketing.  This person will be responsible for: i) teaching undergraduate and graduate courses across different modalities with a particular focus on experiential learning; ii) remaining current and relevant in their field through professional and/or scholarly engagement activities; iii) participating in service to the university and the business school. In addition, producing intellectual contributions is valued.  

This is a full-time appointment in the business school’s Marketing area. The position starts July 1, 2024.  Salary, teaching load, and benefits are commensurate with other major research institutions.  Hiring for this position is subject to final budgetary approval by the university.

Qualifications

Candidates for Professor of Practice are expected to be either professionally qualified (i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in Marketing or a related field and a substantial record of recent professional experience) or academically qualified (i.e., Ph.D. in Marketing and actively engaged in scholarly and/or professional engagement activities). Candidates for Lecturer are expected to be professionally qualified (i.e., Master’s Degree in Marketing or a related field and recent related professional experience.)  We seek collegial candidates with demonstrated excellence in communication skills or success in classroom teaching, experience with experiential learning, and the ability to build relationships with industry partners.
