Job Summary
The School of Business within College of Business, Education and Professional Studies at Albany State University, GA invites applications for a tenure track position in Marketing at the rank of Assistant Professor. The start date of the position is August 2023. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a variety of Marketing courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, perform high quality research and be willing to provide service to the university, the business school, and the community.
Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence
- Prepare and teach twelve semester hours of undergraduate and graduate classes
- Contribute assessment information and data as requested
- Mentor and/or advise undergraduate and/or graduate students
- Establish and/or continue an independent line of research
- Continue to expand professional influence in the academic discipline through research and/or publication
- Engage in service within the academic unit, the university, and the profession as appropriate based on teaching and research constraints
- Be committed to work with a varied group of students
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Ph.D. degree in marketing or equivalent
The candidate must demonstrate the ability to communicate with different age groups along with students of various cultural and ethnic backgrounds. In addition, communication should be central to teaching strategies, advisement and academic preparation. In addition, the successful candidate will demonstrate a strong research orientation in quantitative or qualitative approaches, and a willingness to publish in refereed journals.
Proposed Salary
Salary range is from $75,000 to $85,000
