Specific Job Responsibilities:

Your primary responsibility will involve delivering face-to-face undergraduate instruction in courses related to Marketing. In our small class settings, you will have the opportunity to engage deeply with students, ensuring that theoretical knowledge is translated effectively into practical applications. This role will serve as the lead faculty for the marketing program with a possible administrative opportunity to lead the program.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

Teaching: Deliver a standard course load (4 courses per semester) aligned with the ongoing needs of the Marketing and Marketing Communication programs within the Stiller School of Business.

Student Support: Provide advising, guidance, and support to undergraduate students, primarily those in Marketing, Marketing Communication, and other Stiller programs. This support will encompass course planning, career exploration, and professional development.

Curriculum Development: Bringing your vision to review, explore, and develop Marketing and innovative interdisciplinary business curriculum serving as the lead faculty for the marketing program with possible administrative opportunity to lead the program.

Additional Responsibilities:

In addition to your primary responsibilities, this faculty role includes contributing to the program, division, and college through:

Student Recruitment: Participate in recruitment events, assist the Stiller Leadership Team in coordinating faculty participation, and liaise with institutional marketing and admissions departments to facilitate collaboration on messaging and outreach.

Professional and Community Engagement: Work in conjunction with the Stiller Dean, Institutional Advancement, Career Collaborative, and Alumni Relations to speak at community events, cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, and aid in the development of internship and employment opportunities.

Cultural and Inclusive Engagement: Actively promote intercultural understanding and exhibit multicultural perspectives that foster a diverse and inclusive community, both within and outside of the classroom.


Requirements:


The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Demonstrated successful teaching experience, as the range of courses likely taught may span 1st thru 4th year Marketing and Marketing Communication students
  • Extensive professional experience in the marketing industry with significant experience in digital marketing
  • A minimum of a master’s degree
  • Marketing curriculum and course development experience
  • Experience in working with diverse populations, demonstration of past and current involvement in promoting equity, inclusion, diversity, and belonging, and an understanding of inclusive pedagogies
  • A willingness to collaborate across disciplines as Champlain builds new interdisciplinary programs in support of its 2030 Strategic Plan
