Sacred Heart University and the Department of Marketing in the Welch College of Business & Technology (WCBT) is pleased to announce the career opportunity for Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Marketing, for Fall 2024, pending final budgetary approval.
We seek candidates who are committed to excellence in both research and teaching, as well as engagement with students, colleagues, and professional communities. Successful applicants should engage in meaningful, high-quality research that demonstrates synergies with courses they teach as well as with the Welch College mission. Successful applicants will demonstrate a commitment to experiential education and developing and delivering cutting-edge curricula which prepare students for marketing careers.
Experiential Education is the cornerstone of learning in the Welch College. Our faculty facilitate relationships between students, faculty, alumni, and local and global businesses. The successful candidate will develop collaborative relationships with external communities for consulting projects, class projects, research projects, and other curricular activities.
Requirements:
The WCBT Department of Marketing has a strategic focus on transformative technologies in marketing. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Marketing from an AACSB-accredited university. Strong candidates will have experience and/or ability to teach undergraduate and graduate Marketing courses with a focus in the areas of Digital Marketing, Marketing Analytics, and others related to the integration of Marketing and Technology. However, applicants of all experience levels and Marketing teaching/research backgrounds are invited to apply. There is the possibility of qualified candidates to be considered in the future for the Program Director of the WCBT’s MS in Digital Marketing program. Candidates who are ABD must have defended their dissertation or have strong evidence that the dissertation will be successfully defended by August 2024. Interest in developing relationships with local and/or global organizations is a plus.

Sacred Heart University’s Jack Welch College of Business & Technology (WCBT) enrolls over 2,600 students and is focused on the integration of business and technology with a College of Business and a School of Computer Science and Engineering. WCBT is located on the West Campus and includes state-of-the-art labs, equipment, and studios to support research on AI, cybersecurity, data analytics, finance, machine learning, augmented and virtual reality, and e-game design.
WCBT is accredited by AACSB, NECHE, and ABET and offers certificate and degree programs including BS, MS, MBA, and DBA. Courses are offered during the day and evening, as well as Saturdays, and are delivered face-to-face, hybrid, and online.
