The Walker Department of Business at Mercyhurst University is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time, tenure track Marketing faculty position at the Assistant Professor level to begin in August 2024. The department seeks an individual who is dedicated to working with students, business faculty, and academic support staff. Mercyhurst business faculty are expected to excel at teaching, engage in scholarship, and contribute to the university’s service expectations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to) The ideal candidate will be prepared to instruct a wide range of undergraduate courses in various marketing subjects including Consumer Behavior, Marketing Research, Marketing Management, Social Media Marketing, Digital Marketing, and other courses as needed. Preference will be given to individuals with expertise or teachcing experience in digital marketing. Other requirements include an ability to effectively use a variety of instructional techniques to effectively and engagingly convey expertise to students. In addition to teaching responsibilities, the candidate will be responsible for management of the marketing program, student advising, participation in faculty scholarship/development, and providing service to both the department and University. The candidate is also expected to develop relationships with organizations in the field to facilitate student projects, internships, and job placements. Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Earned Doctorate in Marketing or a related field from a regionally accredited University; Master’s degree with relevant professional experience are encouraged to apply. A proven record of effective teaching and mentoring is preferred.
