The Department of Business at the College of Management of Long Island University Post Campus (LIU Post) invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the Marketing area starting in January 2024 or September 2024.
Required Qualifications:
- Ph.D. from an AACSB-accredited school in Marketing or closely related field prior to the start date. (For doctoral students, there must be clear evidence of the ability to complete degree by the Fall semester start date in 2024).
- Potential to publish in in high-quality academic journals.
- Potential to teach effectively at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels, especially in marketing, branding and licensing related classes. For candidates with teaching experience, evidence of teaching effectiveness is required; and
- Good citizenship and collegiality are essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Applicants with research interests related to issues in digital marketing, marketing strategy, and/or analytical modeling.
- Applicants with demonstrable competence in data analysis using machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing; and
- Prior teaching experience with or interest in teaching and developing courses in social media marketing, and marketing analytics related coursework.
- Prior teaching experience or willingness to teach undergraduate management courses that complement digital marketing.
- This position requires a teaching load of nine credits per fall/spring semester with a three-credit reduction to support research and tenure application for two semesters. In addition to teaching and scholarship, job responsibilities include services such as student recruiting and mentoring as well as participation in faculty-led college and university committees.
