Position Summary: A Tenure Track Assistant Professor of Marketing is responsible for teaching 24 credits per academic year (3 credits of time may be authorized for research release). This position is within the Katz School of Business and in support of majors, minors, concentrations, and certificate programs across the Katz School of Business.

Job Description:

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • ​Conduct research sufficient to maintain AACSB Scholarly Academic status
  • Teaching at the undergraduate level with a standard teaching load of 24 credits per year of which three may be authorized for research release. 
  • Demonstrating a commitment to student success in the classroom, during office hours, through mentorship of students within the Marketing program (and the Katz School of Business), and by supervising undergraduate projects  
  • Maintaining an active program of scholarship and disciplinary engagement  
  • Participating in departmental and College governance and professional service  
  • Demonstrates a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities 
  • Maintains knowledge and awareness of digital accessibility, including the American with Disabilities Act and Section 508 
  • Produces and remediates digitally accessible materials in accordance with FLC standards 
  • Perform other duties as assigned 

Required Education, Specialized Skills and Experience:

  • Ph.D. / D.B.A. in Marketing or a closely related field
    • Candidates who are ABD with promise of degree completion within one academic year will be considered
  • Ability and interest in teaching in multiple areas of the marketing program
  • Demonstrated teaching excellence
  • Demonstrated record of scholarship
  • A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities

Preferred Education, Specialized Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and teach a range of marketing courses at the undergraduate level, especially principles of marketing, integrated marketing communications, and introductory digital marketing classes
  • Work experience in marketing in areas such as digital marketing, small business, non-profit organizations, etc.
  • Demonstrated success in working in a diverse environment
  • Interest in working in a cross-disciplinary environment 
  • Online teaching experience
  • Ph.D./D.B.A from an AACSB-accredited business school
