The Adelaide Business School invites applications for a Lecturer in Wine Business/Marketing who is a self-motivated individual who can demonstrate a willingness to work with colleagues on initiatives and contribute to the administration of the School, Faculty and University.

The Adelaide Business School is home to the Wine Business Group, the largest concentration of Wine Business academics in Australia. The group aims to support the sustainable growth of the domestic and international wine sector through research, teaching, and industry engagement.

We particularly welcome applications from those who have a passion for wine, food, and tourism research; are willing to teach in the postgraduate wine business and marketing offerings, take on the service role of Program Director of the Postgraduate program in Wine Business and/or Marketing; and engage with industry and other external stakeholders on a regular basis.

You will have a willingness to contribute positively to the Marketing Discipline at Adelaide Business School, in terms of internal citizenship as well as external engagement with the broader field of marketing. This includes the willingness and ability to support a workplace culture based on inclusion, accountability, problem-solving orientation, and emotional intelligence.

To be successful you at Level B will need:

  • A PhD in Marketing or related field from Business, Economics, or Tourism.
  • A growing track record of research and clear potential to publish in highly ranked journals in marketing and/or tourism (ABDC: A and A*; ideally also FT50 potential) and attract externally funded grants (cat 1 or industry).
  • Display competence in innovative curriculum design and/or delivery of high-quality and engaging courses, particularly in Wine & Food Marketing and Tourism.
  • Showcase proficiency in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level in Wine & Food Marketing and Tourism.
  • A potential ability in a Program Director role at a university and the willingness to undertake the service role of Program Director of the Postgraduate program in Wine Business and/or Marketing at Adelaide Business School.
  • A demonstrated aptitude to engage collaboratively with industry partners and other external stakeholders for teaching and research purposes, preferably in relation to Wine & Food Marketing and Tourism.

In addition to the above, to be successful at Level C, you will need:

  • An outstanding track record of research and clear potential to keep publishing in highly ranked journals in marketing and/or tourism (ABDC: A and A*; ideally also FT50 potential) and attract externally funded grants (cat 1 or industry).
  • Demonstrated experience in innovative curriculum design and/or delivery of high-quality and engaging courses, particularly in Wine & Food Marketing and Tourism.
  • Proven excellence in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level in Wine & Food Marketing and Tourism.
  • A demonstrated ability in a Program Director role at a university and the willingness to undertake the service role of Program Director of the Postgraduate program in Wine Business and/or Marketing at Adelaide Business School.
  • A demonstrated ability to engage collaboratively with industry partners and other external stakeholders for teaching and research purposes, preferably in relation to Wine & Food Marketing and Tourism.
