Summary

The Department of Marketing invites applications for a qualified-rank (non-tenure-track) Assistant Teaching Professor specializing in the area of Introduction to Business starting in January 2024. This is a full-time, non-tenure-track, renewable position.

Essential Functions

• Teaching 24 credit-hours per year primarily in Understanding the Dynamics of Business, BGSU’s first year introduction to business course
• Coordinating the freshman introductory business course curriculum and integrating the curriculum with programming from the Radbill Center of College and Life Design
• Actively engaging in the transformational first year experience for the Schmidthorst College of Business
• Demonstrate sufficient professional activity to maintain AACSB faculty qualifications
• Service to department, college, university, profession, and community

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a business discipline
• Five or more years of relevant, current, professional experience

Preference will be given to candidates with:
• Master’s degree from an AACSB accredited university
• Professional and/or teaching experience in business education at the freshman level
• Ten or more years of business leadership experience, at least five years post graduate degree
• Strong potential to contribute to Department of Marketing programs, as well as the missions of the Schmidthorst College of Business and Bowling Green State University
