Job Summary

The AACSB accredited Soules College of Business at The University of Texas at Tyler (UT Tyler) is seeking applicants for one full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor in Marketing.

Position is projected to begin in Fall of 2024.

Review of applications will begin on October 1, 2023. The position will remain open until the position is filled.

Essential Functions

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain a well-defined research stream in Marketing in high-quality peer-reviewed academic journals
  • Teach 3 (9 credit hours) of undergraduate and/or graduate courses (including MBA courses) per semester, including face-to-face and/or online delivery
  • Be effectively engaged in service in the department, college, university, and community
  • Communicate effectively in the classroom to enhance learning and retention of students

Required Qualifications

  • Earned doctorate in Marketing from AACSB accredited school no later than August 1, 2024
  • Demonstrated potential for scholarly productivity in quality academic journals
  • Teaching experience in Marketing courses

Additional Information

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length. This position has the option to elect the Optional Retirement Program (ORP) instead of TRS, subject to the position being 40 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
