Salary range:
Depending on rank, a reasonable salary range estimate for this position is $200k-230k. The posted UC academic salary scales (https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/compensation/2022-23-academic-salary-scales.html) set the minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. The academic salary scales for the regular Professor series shall apply, subject to the terms
of the compensation plan. See the following table for the salary scale for this position:https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/s/2022-23/oct-2022-salary-scales/t3.pdf. Off-scale salaries, i.e., a salary that is higher than the published system-wide salary at the designated rank and step, are offered when necessary to meet competitive conditions.

Position description
The Rady School of Management (https://rady.ucsd.edu) at UC San Diego is committed to academic excellence and diversity within its faculty, staff and student body, via research, teaching, service, and/or other activities. The Rady School invites applications for one or more faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level (tenure-track) in the field of Marketing.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach effectively at the undergraduate and graduate levels in Marketing. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching of Marketing courses and other core classes, improvement of curriculum, helping coordination of Marketing research seminars, development and assessment of new educational initiatives, and serving as the faculty advisor to student organizations.
Qualifications
Basic qualifications(Required at Time of Application)
Must be currently enrolled in a PhD program or already hold a PhD degree in Marketing, Psychology, Economics or closely related field, and have a minimum of three years of marketing research experience, as evidenced by scholarly work output and contributions to diversity. No teaching experience required. Candidates need to fit and complement empirical research in marketing including design and analyses of field data, field and lab experiments.

PhD must be awarded by the service start date of the 2024-25 academic year: September 23, 2024.
Preferred qualifications
Teaching experience at the graduate level is preferred.
