Unit Mission Statement
The mission of the Raymond A. Mason School of Business at William & Mary is to serve the Commonwealth, the nation, and the global community both by offering high-quality educational programs at the undergraduate, graduate, and professional levels and by creating and communicating new knowledge.

Position Summary
The Raymond A. Mason School of Business at William and Mary is seeking to fill a position in the Marketing area. This position is a full-time tenure-eligible Assistant Professor position (or advanced Assistant) that begins August 10, 2024, and is contingent on funding. We anticipate conducting initial interviews remotely in October/November, followed by on-site visits for select candidates. We will not be recruiting at the summer AMA conference.

The responsibilities of this position include research, teaching, and service. Within the undergraduate program, the Marketing Area offers a Marketing major and Marketing minor as well as an interdisciplinary Minor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. The Marketing Area is also active in multiple MBA programs and offers an online Master of Science in Marketing. Teaching loads are competitive. Significant research support includes summer funding, conference travel, and access to a behavioral lab and student pool. Service expectations are commensurate with rank.

The Mason School faculty has also been highly ranked by both Bloomberg Business Week and the Princeton Review where Mason faculty rank # 3 nationally. The Marketing Area includes ten full-time faculty, and is home to residential and online Master of Science in Marketing programs. The University is situated in historic Williamsburg, Virginia and is within an hour drive of Richmond, Norfolk, and Virginia Beach. Washington DC is within a three-hour drive. The Hampton Roads area has consistently ranked among the best places to live in the country on the dimensions of quality of life, affordability, and climate.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must have a doctoral degree by the time of appointment and a demonstrated ability to publish high-quality research. Commitment to excellence in both teaching and research is essential. Commitment to inclusive teaching is required.

Preferred Qualifications
Applicants with a background in quantitative marketing, consumer behavior, or marketing strategy are encouraged to apply.

We are particularly interested in candidates who are excited about the possibilities presented by disruptive technologies, especially candidates with strong quantitative/analytics skills.
