Summary of Position
The Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire invites applications for a tenure-track, Assistant Professor position in Marketing beginning Fall 2024.
The department is looking for a candidate with interests and expertise in behavioral research / consumer insights that address marketing problems and opportunities in any of a number of applications including sustainability, well-being, communications, retailing, digital marketing, impact of new technologies, among others. We are open to a variety of research approaches, and we would be particularly interested in candidates with expertise in field experiments or other emerging areas and methods including the use of new and emerging technologies. The candidate must demonstrate strong research skills with the potential to publish in accordance with the department’s Research Statement. Advanced candidates should have an established track record of research and teaching.
Due to growth of our undergraduate student body, we have a variety of teaching needs including principles of marketing, consumer behavior, digital marketing, marketing research, marketing analytics, retail management, and our applied capstone course. The teaching load is four courses per year, and typically assistant professors have two preps over their first three years. Teaching responsibilities will be mainly at the undergraduate level with some MBA level teaching possibilities. Service responsibilities would include participation in the department’s initiatives and associated external engagement. Classes will be taught both in-person and online, and the candidate is expected to be on campus for regular office hours and other university and college responsibilities.

The Department of Marketing offers a marketing option within the business major, a sales minor, and a marketing concentration in the MBA program. Courses in the department include Marketing Analytics, Consumer Behavior, Marketing Research, Digital Marketing, Personal Selling and Sales Management, New Product Development, and several others. About 200 students per year graduate with the undergraduate marketing option, placing marketing among the most popular programs of study on campus. The department also offers several marketing courses available to the general university student population.

Acceptable Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Marketing or a related field. Doctoral students who are ABD will be considered with a clearly identified plan to complete their Ph.D. before the start date.
