Job Summary:

The Marketing Department in the Wisconsin School of Business seeks a full-time, nine-month, tenure track appointment (Assistant) to begin August 19, 2024, pending on position clearance and availability of funding. The individual would be responsible for teaching graduate and undergraduate students in Marketing and related fields at the Wisconsin School of Business, conducting scholarly research and performing university services.

The Marketing department is rated among the top programs in the country for research productivity. The department has strong undergraduate, MBA and PhD programs. The department includes the Marketing Leadership Institute (MLI) that was launched in 2022. It is built on the rich heritage of the A.C. Nielsen Center for Marketing Analytics and Insights and the Center for Brand and Product Management. The MLI fosters industry partnerships to enhance the education of marketing leaders, support professional development, and create and disseminate marketing knowledge. With its three-hub structure (Brand, Tech, Insights) the MLI serves the students, faculty & staff in the marketing department as well as our alumni and industry partners. We are proud to be part of a great university with excellent resources available to both faculty and students. The Wisconsin School of Business (WSB) offers degrees in Marketing at the undergraduate, masters, and PhD level. The WSB currently enrolls approximately 3,400 undergraduates, 650 masters, and 60 PhD students.

Responsibilities:

Job Duties:
– Create and maintain a strong program of research
– Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in the Wisconsin School of Business
– Provide classroom and individual instruction for undergraduate and graduate degree-seeking students
– Contribute to the intellectual and academic life of the department. University and community service will be expected as appropriate.

Education:

Required
PhD in Marketing or related field required by start date. Research and teaching interest in areas such as marketing analytics, technology marketing, and digital marketing is desirable

Qualifications:

Required (Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience)

– Candidates will have research under way that is likely to result in one or more publications in top tier journals and will have presentation skills that suggest future excellence in teaching.
