McGill’s Desautels Faculty of Management invites applications for one Assistant/Advanced Assistant Professor tenure-track position in the Marketing Area with a focus on Behavioral Marketing. The start date for the position is August 1, 2024. Candidates must have (or be near completion of) a Ph.D. in August 2024. Applicants demonstrating outstanding potential who are doctoral students and plan to have completed the requirements for their Ph.D. by December 2024 will also be considered. We have a particular interest in candidates with research and teaching focus in the areas of innovation, impact of AI on consumer behavior, sustainability, or equity, diversity & inclusion. Applicants in other sub- disciplines will also be considered.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to advance a cutting-edge, compelling, and impactful research agenda. The ideal candidate will have evidence of effective teaching, an experience- appropriate record of research publications in high quality, peer-reviewed journals, and clear promise of conducting innovative and important research publishable in the top journals in Marketing such as those listed on the Desautels 22. Successful candidates are also expected to work actively with doctoral students, to teach in our undergraduate and graduate programs, and contribute to the administration of the Area and Faculty. McGill University is an English-language university where most teaching and research activities are conducted in the English language, thereby requiring English communication both verbally and in writing; but knowledge of French or a willingness to learn French is desirable.

Compensation levels, teaching load, research funding, and travel support are competitive and commensurate with experience.
