The Business, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship Learning Community at Henderson State University invites applicants for an Visiting Professor of Marketing. Job responsibilities include teaching a broad spectrum of Marketing courses using various methods and modes of instruction to ensure student engagement and student success. 

We seek an additional team member who can adapt instructional methods to meet the needs of our diverse students. Ideally, this person will have a background in integrating innovation and entrepreneurship into the marketing curriculum.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate learning and help students achieve academic success and retention
  • Evaluate and assess student performance
  • Provide academic advising
  • Monitor and continuously improve instruction to ensure Student Learning Outcomes are met in a classroom, discipline/program, and College level
  • Evaluate and revise course outlines and course materials
  • Maintain competency and currency in the teaching fields
  • Engage in professional development in current and emerging instructional approaches to engage new majority learners
  • Serve actively as a member of the department and discipline groups
  • Participate in fostering partnerships that strengthen educational opportunities in response to community needs
  • Represent the department and/or campus on college-wide committees
  • Work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students, and utilize a collegial style in all forms of communication 
  • Other duties as assigned
