Summary:

With world-class facilities, ground-breaking research and cutting-edge thinking, we are seeking applications from ambitious, highly motivated and talented individuals who will be keen to play an active role in further enhancing the Management School’s international reputation for excellence in research, teaching and innovation that has positive societal impact.

We have an opportunity for a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Marketing to deliver excellent research and teaching. We are interested in candidates with expertise in any areas of marketing including digital marketing and creative marketing communication, who can contribute to the School and the wider University in the areas of research, teaching, leadership and professional standing and wider engagement. Applicants from candidates with experience in marketing whose research interests are aligned with one or more of the BRISTT research cluster themes, namely, digital transformation, sustainability, and cultural and creative marketing are particularly welcomed.

The School has six Subject Groups and this opportunity is located in the Management School’s Marketing and Creative & Cultural Industries Group which:

• is home to a highly active research cluster – Behavioural Research for Inclusivity, Sustainability and Technological Transformation (BRISTT) – and a vibrant range of research activity and publications across the Division’s subject areas, including cross-disciplinary projects;

• delivers a range of postgraduate and undergraduate programmes and modules, mainly relating to Marketing, Cultural and Creative Industries.

The mission of the Subject Group is to produce progressively useful and thought-provoking research through meaningful engagement with business, society and government; and through our teaching, to feed the curiosity, creativity and knowledge of our students as future managers and leaders of a better future through socially responsible and sustainable practice and global vision.

We seek to create an environment in which all staff can develop their research interests through national and international collaboration, links with industry and commerce, conference attendance and a lively seminar series. Promotion of a close

synergy between our research and teaching underpins the delivery of transformative education that positively impacts our students, organisations and wider society.

We build teams of people from different heritages and lifestyles from across the world, whose talent and contributions complement each other to greatest effect. We believe diversity in all its forms delivers greater impact through research, teaching and student experience.

We are consistently ranked in the top 100 of the world’s universities, but there’s so much more to us than that. By joining the University, you will be joining award-winning teams and departments who are all working together to make the University of Sheffield a remarkable place to work.
