The College of Business (COB) has been AACSB accredited for over 40 years. We offer BSBA, MBA, and MSA degrees and our School of Hospitality Management offers both a BS in Hospitality Management and an MS in Sustainable Tourism and Hospitality. Additionally, the Miller School of Entrepreneurship offers a BS in Entrepreneurship. We are one of the largest Colleges of Business in the state with approximately 4,200 undergraduate and 900 graduate students. To date, the COB has approximately 150 faculty members of the highest caliber, skilled in the scholarship of research, teaching, and application of knowledge. The Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management within the College of Business is a large, vibrant community of teachers and scholars. The department has approximately 500 undergraduate majors and over 20 faculty members and offers courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Job Duties
The Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management, in the College of Business at East Carolina University, invites applications for a nine-month, tenure-track position in the area of Marketing at the assistant professor rank beginning August 2024 with the possibility of beginning January 2024. The position will have instructional responsibilities in the department teaching courses relevant to sales and business to business marketing. Specialties in other areas of Marketing and Supply Chain Management may be considered. A standard teaching load is nine semester hours. A continuous stream of quality research is required for tenure, as is an effort at obtaining external funding. Service to the university, community, and profession is expected, as well as any additional duties assigned by the department chair.

Minimum Education/Experience
This appointment requires a PhD in the teaching field or related discipline from an accredited business school that satisfies credentialing under SACS guidelines is required. The candidate must possess the qualifications necessary to be designated a professionally qualified faculty member in accordance with AACSB standards. Candidates with PhD newly conferred at the time of initial appointment will hold the probationary rank of Assistant Professor. ABD candidates will be considered. ABD candidates will be appointed with the probationary term rank of Assistant Professor and must have the terminal degree conferred prior to the first reappointment.

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
Preferred experience includes teaching and a record of scholarly publications in sales and business to business marketing or a related field.
