Post Doctoral Fellowship opportunity at Bayes Business School, City University of London – application deadline June 1st.

We are looking to hire a post-doctoral fellow (three-year fixed term contract).

The position involves developing and managing the new behavioural lab’s research activities at Bayes Business School. The fellow will work closely with the behavioural lab directors Professors Zachary Estes and Irene Scopelliti, faculty members, and PhD students to ensure the lab’s ability to deliver on its mission to facilitate cutting edge, data-driven research to advance the study of human behaviour, by contributing to the submission of funding applications and managing and coordinating studies run through the lab.

Responsibilities will include:
Support to the faculty and participation in the preparation and submission of grants and funding applications
Participation in study design, data acquisition and analysis, manuscript development, and presentation/publication of results
Planning and administration of research studies conducted in the lab
Managing budgets and maintaining records and spreadsheets.
Support to researchers (faculty and PhD students) who use the facilities of the lab Managing research assistants

Required skills and qualifications:
Applicants must have completed a PhD in social sciences (Psychology, Behavioural Economics, Marketing, etc.)
Capacity to generate original research questions and implement studies to investigate those questions
Formal education in the design and execution of experimental studies with human subjects, and familiarity with running social science lab experiments.
Experience with Qualtrics, Amazon Mechanical Turk, Prolific, Sona Systems, or other survey and data collection platforms


Preferred qualifications
Familiarity with basic programming is preferred but not necessary

Experience hiring and managing subordinates (e.g., research assistants) is preferred but not necessary
