Department Summary

The Department of Marketing is a highly regarded, nationally ranked academic unit within the G. Brint Ryan College of Business. The Department is located in a state-of-the-art Gold LEED-certified $70 million facility named the Business Leadership Building.The Ryan College is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). The Department comprises tenured, tenure-track, and non-tenured faculty with wide-ranging research and teaching interests and accolades. The Department offers Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. degrees, serving U.S. and international students. Marketing is one of the most popular majors and minors at the University of North Texas – Denton, the flagship university of the UNT System. The Department offers an environment supporting faculty research, teaching, and laboratories in behavioral research, modeling, and simulation.

Position Summary

The Department of Marketing in the G. Brint Ryan College of Business at the University of North Texas (UNT) seeks applicants for a Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor of Marketing position that begins in August 2023. Preference will be given to candidates with strong teaching and classroom management skills, who demonstrate an ability to teach face-to-face and Internet-based undergraduate and graduate courses, and who possess a strong background and the experience-based potential to develop and deliver courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The successful candidate should be able to teach courses across the marketing curriculum. Applicants must maintain an active research profile by publishing in quality journals, presenting at academic conferences, and sustaining engagement in the academic community. The successful candidate is also expected to play a secondary role in service activities in the Department, such as committee work.

Minimum Qualifications

Ph.D. in Marketing or a successfully defended dissertation in Marketing or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited institution is required by the time of appointment – subject to funding.
