Position Summary Guidelines: Clarkson University’s David D. Reh School of Business seeks a teaching-track faculty at the Assistant Professor, Instructor, or Professor of Practice rank in the area of Marketing to begin August 1, 2023. Successful candidates will be able to teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate marketing courses including principles of marketing, consumer behavior, marketing research, and new product development. Candidates near PhD completion and applicants with a Master’s degree and substantial work experience in the area of marketing will be considered at the Instructor or Professor of Practice level. A doctorate in Marketing or related discipline is required for an Assistant Professor.
A teaching-track Assistant Professor is expected to teach 3 courses per semester (i.e., 6 courses in an academic year) and produce impactful scholarship that advances the teaching and practice of marketing and related fields. The standard teaching load for an Instructor or Professor of Practice is 4 courses per semester (i.e., 8 courses in an academic year). The selected candidate is expected to actively participate in the School’s (and University’s) shared-governance, by serving on relevant faculty committees, and be part of our collegial environment. Assisting our University’s efforts to market our programs is another service possibility. In addition to having the relevant academic credentials and experience, the selected candidate will demonstrate sustained engagement activities necessary for maintaining faculty qualifications consistent with our AACSB accreditation standards.

Education:
Minimal Qualifications: Masters in Business Administration, Marketing, or similar.
Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. in Marketing, Business Administration, or similar.
Experience:
The preferred candidate will have demonstrated significant work-related experience, as well as collegiate teaching experience.
