Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the fields of operations management or Operations Research starting from Spring 2023 or Fall 2023. The successful candidate will work closely with a diversified research group led by Dr. Meng Li, the Director of Bauer Human-Centered AI Lab at the University of Houston (UH).

Requirements: A recently completed Ph.D. in Operations Management, Management Science, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related field is a minimum requirement. Advanced knowledge of, and demonstrably significant experience with mathematical modeling and data analytics using a computer programming software (e.g., Mathematica, MATLAB, R, or Python) is required. The postdoctoral fellow is expected to perform at least two of the following tasks: (Task 1) find a new research topic and take the leadership role in conducting the research; (Task 2) teach one course per semester for the Bauer Human-Centered AI Lab or data science center located at the UH. This position is contingent upon completion of your Ph.D. degree and receipt of appropriate employment authorization from the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services, U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Funding: This will be a 12-month appointment with a possible extension of up to 12 additional months.
