The Role

As a Professor of Marketing, your purpose is to drive innovation and academic excellence within the Business School. You’ll do this by contributing significantly to portfolio development, teaching and undertaking research and knowledge exchange in a way that makes an impact to our students and community.  

We’ll look to you to manage projects with international partners, and further develop the profile and research culture of the School. You will take a leading role in developing research output and impact, and support and guide the scholarship and ambition of your colleagues.

The Person

You’ll work alongside and collaborate with existing research staff and students, contributing to the development of the school’s intellectual and innovative portfolio of research and enterprise activity. You must already hold a sustained record of publications in top-ranked peer-reviewed academic journals, and possess the ability to attract and manage research, knowledge exchange or commercial funding. You will have the capacity to inspire colleagues and provide academic leadership.

Your research and expertise should align with industry driven developments in the subject area and a background in marketing technology, digital innovation, data analytics or creativity and design would be advantageous.

Your values will mean you see success as a result of working within a team, as well as through collaborating with the world outside of academia. You will be proactive and be prepared to experiment and challenge yourself and others.
