The Management & Marketing Department invites applications for a full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor of Marketing. We offer courses and experiential learning to students who want careers in management and marketing that will challenge and inspire them in private, public, and not-for-profit organizations. Through flexible programs, students engage and complete coursework in either in-person classes, real-time, on-line courses at a scheduled time or autonomously. The department offers undergraduate students a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Marketing, and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Management with concentrations in General Management, Global Management, Information Systems Management, Human Resources Management and Operations Management. We also offer a Masters of Business Administration program and a minor in Management.

Essential Duties

The Department of Management and Marketing invites applications for a full time, tenure-track position, teaching an array of Marketing courses including digital marketing, advertising, and marketing principles. The successful candidate may occasionally teach a variety of Management courses.

Responsibilities of the position include teaching upper level and lower-level courses, as well as Honors and graduate courses (both online and traditional face-to-face) for our University’s diverse student population using a variety of appropriate teaching methods.

Department faculty members are expected to participate in advising students on academic curricula; maintain regularly scheduled office hours for student consultation, serve on faculty committees; participate in faculty meetings; participate in the development of departmental curricula; and adhere to all institutional policies.

Required Qualifications
* Experience working with diverse student populations from a wide range of age, ethnicity, national origin, and ability; engage in and develop innovative teaching strategies; effectively assess student learning outcomes.
* Ph.D. from a regionally accredited doctoral program in a related field by September 1, 2023 is required
* College-level teaching experience.
* Related professional work experience.
* Commitment to excellence in teaching and advising enhances an environment of equity, diversity, and inclusion.
* Ability to use technology effectively in teaching and learning designed to meet our students’ educational, culturally relevant, and emotional needs.

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement

This position must comply with the University Covid-19 Attestation requirement. All employees – faculty, professional, classified, temporary hourly staff – must be fully vaccinated and complete the Covid-19 Attestation upon hire.

Medical or Religious Exemptions

An employee may request an exemption to the vaccination requirement based on the existence of medical contraindication to vaccination. In addition, an employee may request an exemption to the vaccination requirement based on a sincere religious belief. In both cases, an employee will be required to submit documentation to support the request for an exemption. Employees who secure an exemption may be required to take additional precautions in the workplace and will be required to participate in weekly COVID-19 testing through the university’s Wellness Center.
