Their research is organised in two disciplinary areas: A) Marketing Science & Consumer Research and  B) Strategic Marketing & Market Innovation. The Department offers a full suite of degree programmes, including contributing to undergraduate core courses, an undergraduate marketing major, and Honours, Masters, and PhD programmes. The Department also contributes to the Master of Business Analytics and the Master of Business Management programmes of the Graduate School of Management.  

Job Description

Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

The Department of Marketing invites applications for a permanent Lecturer/Senior Lecturer position (equivalent to North American Assistant Professor/Associate Professor) in Quantitative Marketing / Business Analytics.

Reporting to the Head of The Marketing Department, primarily responsibilities in this position are:

  • Teaching on our master’s in business Analytics, other business analytics courses in the postgraduate suite of programs, undergraduate courses in business analytics, digital analytics and marketing research methods.
  • PhD and Masters research student supervision.

He kōrero mōu | About you

We are particularly seeking individuals with:

·         Experience in Market Modelling, Digital Analytics or Business/Marketing Analytics.

·         A background in flipped classroom, Team Based Learning (TBL) and/or online teaching methods and course design.

·         Experience working with Teaching and Learning designers is desirable.  

·         A PhD (obtained or near completion) in Quantitative Marketing / Business

·         Practical experience would be an added advantage.
