UNIVERSITY OF MANITOBA I.H. ASPER SCHOOL OF BUSINESS DEPARTMENT OF MARKETING Position Number 31558 Applications are invited for a Probationary (Tenure-track) or Tenured position in the Department of Marketing in the I. H. Asper School of Business at the University of Manitoba. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. The start date for the appointment is July 1, 2023. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities :
Candidates must have completed or have nearly completed a Ph.D. in Marketing or a closely-related field. We are seeking candidates from all sub-disciplines of marketing or related disciplines that would complement the current research profile of the department. This position requires strong research orientation and candidates should have a strong record of high-quality publications or, in the absence of publications, a potential to publish in top-tier marketing journals. Candidates’ fit with the collegial culture in the marketing department is an important requirement. To be considered at the Associate Professor or Professor level, candidates must have also demonstrated strong leadership skills, evidence of graduate student supervision, and evidence of effective teaching.

Qualifications :
Ideally, candidates should have the ability to teach in one or more of the areas of marketing analytics, marketing strategy, digital marketing, consumer behavior, or social marketing. Duties include research, teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and professional service for the School, the University, and the community. The normal teaching load at the Asper school is four courses (e.g., 2 + 2).

The school offers undergraduate, MBA, M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees as well as Executive Education programs. The Asper School is a research-intensive institution comprised of over 64 full-time faculty members who publish in leading academic journals. Substantial start up research funding is provided to new faculty members, as is a fully paid six-month sabbatical after three years.
