The Business Administration Department in the Stonecipher School of Business at East Central University (ECU) invites applications for a full-time position (tenure track) in Marketing with beginning Fall 2023. The Business Administration Department offers an undergraduate program with concentrations in entrepreneurship, finance, general business, marketing, and management. The department added the Master in Management degree program in 2016, and a Bachelor’s of Science in Information Technology Management in 2021.

ECU is a student-centered regional state university located in Ada, Oklahoma. ECU offers thirty undergraduate baccalaureate degree programs in arts and letters, business, education, mathematics and sciences, nursing, and the social sciences; and six master’s degrees in accounting, education, human resources, management, and psychology, ECU’s 4,000 (average) students come from 33 countries and 25 different states. RESPONSIBILITIES: 
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Marketing and possibly other business topics in management, MIS, business communications, business analytics, or foundation business courses as qualified. Non-teaching duties include departmental and university committee assignments and student advising. A commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarly activity and professional service is expected. Successful candidates will have the potential to collaborate with students and faculty across disciplines and become involved with the local business community, student internships/research, the student organization Business Leaders Association (BLA), and provide faculty advisement for the student chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA). Additional academic service includes supporting the enhancement of the visibility of the business program by conducting cross-disciplinary and community programs promoting the business program.

QUALIFICATIONS: 
Candidates must have either (1) a Ph.D. in Marketing or related area, (2) a DBA with a specialty in Marketing, (3) a doctorate degree in a related discipline with experience in Marketing, Public Relations, or Advertising, (4) a JD with significant graduate experience in a related business field, or (5) an MBA or master’s degree in a related discipline with a minimum 18 graduate hours in teaching area of Marketing. Candidates with previous university teaching experience or equivalent professional experience are preferred. Applicants with experience using instructional technology (internet, Instructional software, and Blackboard) and possess the ability to teach in traditional, blended, and online environments are preferred.
