Join a growing business program set in a top-tier liberal arts college!  The Washington College Department of Business Management seeks candidates for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Marketing to start in August 2023.

The faculty teaching load at Washington College is three courses per semester, and this position will teach Principles of Marketing and upper-level marketing courses. This faculty position periodically contributes to the college wide First Year Seminar program and also has additional responsibilities to include supervision of senior capstone theses.  Enthusiasm about teaching in a liberal-arts environment (with an emphasis on critical thinking, writing, speaking, and faculty-student interaction) is essential as is productive scholarship. Excellence in teaching and participatory scholarship and service are required to earn tenure.  We are looking for candidates who thrive in a collegial environment that supports excellence in teaching and research, encourages interdisciplinary efforts within and beyond the department, and provides mentorship for junior faculty. 

Qualification

A PhD in a marketing or closely related discipline is required for appointment.  ABD candidates are strongly encouraged for application.
