Description of Job Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be engaged in teaching as well as scholarly and service activities.
Teaching expectations include: preparing and delivering a basic array of contemporary business courses to undergraduate and graduate students; providing instruction both in the classroom and online using virtual classroom technologies for synchronous and asynchronous learning; collaborating with colleagues to review, select, and obtain materials and supplies, such as textbooks and online resources. Course topics may include, but are not limited to, marketing analytics, marketing research, data analytics, statistics, and quantitative management topics.
Scholarly and service expectations include: collecting and analyzing data for outcomes assessment at the course and program levels; participating in course and program assessment reviews to develop continuous improvement strategies; collaborating with colleagues to address instructional strategies, curricular development, recruitment/retention, and/or research issues; serving as advisor to Marketing, Management, and/or General Business majors; supervising internships; participating in recruiting events for the program; engaging in service activities with the school, university, community, and professional organizations; actively engaging in professional and scholarly activities; and, participating in other activities, as necessary, that support the mission of the College of Business and Aviation at Fairmont State University.
Minimum Required Education
PH.D, DBA, or doctorate in marketing or related field; ABD will be considered
