Position Description:
The University of Northern Iowa’s College of Business seeks applicants for Department Head in the Department of Marketing & Entrepreneurship, starting on July 1, 2023. This position requires exercising visionary leadership at the department, college, university, and state levels; advocating for departmental and College interests; developing long-term strategic partnerships; implementing departmental fundraising and scholarship initiatives; overseeing department operations; and some teaching, with optional summer teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level in an area of expertise.

Education Requirements:
Ph.D. or terminal degree in Marketing, Entrepreneurship or a related discipline from a nationally accredited institution required.
Required Qualifications:
Required qualifications include a distinguished record of teaching and scholarship that qualifies the candidate for a tenured appointment at the rank of associate or full professor in the Department of Marketing & Entrepreneurship; distinguished record of service reflecting successful, positive, and collaborative leadership; strong interpersonal, communication, and mentoring skills; and research, teaching, service, or community engagement that indicates interest in positively advancing issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Desirable Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates with administrative experience; and an understanding of AACSB accreditation standards.
