Posting Summary
The Department of Marketing at Rutgers Business School—Newark and New Brunswick invites applications for one open-rank tenure-track position (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor) starting in September 2023. Our faculty members are expected to engage in a high-quality research program, perform excellent teaching at all levels, supervise doctoral students, and engage in service activities. Applicants will be expected to teach courses in marketing at the undergraduate and graduate levels. They should also have strong evidence of high-quality scholarly research.

For this position, we are in search of an outstanding or emerging scholar who has a strong interest in publicly engaged scholarship and teaching in any substantive areas in marketing, including behavioral, quantitative, or managerial studies. In terms of research, the ideal candidate would conduct research on issues of public policy such as race and marketplace discrimination and engage in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in various marketing practices. Further, the candidate is expected to mentor our diverse students and teach courses, including multicultural and ethnic marketing. Applicants should either have completed their Ph.D. in Marketing or a related field or expect to complete it prior to joining Rutgers on September 1, 2023.

We will begin online interviews in September 2022. For full consideration, applications should be received by August 20, 2022, but later applications will be considered until the position is filled. Applications should include a cover letter, a CV, three reference letters, a statement of research and teaching interests, copies of any manuscripts/publications, and evidence of teaching effectiveness. Candidates should apply online by uploading files through the current website.

COVID-19 Immunization Requirement
Under Policy 60.1.35, Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated and have received a booster (where eligible) against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Prospective employees who are not eligible for a booster at the time of an offer of employment must provide proof they have received a booster within two weeks (14 calendar days) of eligibility. Based on current guidance, individuals are considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19 two weeks after receiving the final dose of any COVID-19 vaccine authorized or approved for use in the United States by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and recommended by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Eligibility for a booster against COVID-19 varies and is explained on the University’s web site located at https://coronavirus.rutgers.edu/covid-19-vaccine. Failure to provide proof of primary vaccination and booster will result in rescission of a prospective employee’s offer of employment and/or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
