FACULTY POSITION

In response to its continuous growth, IESEG School of Management invites applications for a permanent full or part time position as Assistant, Associate or Full, Professor in Consumer Behaviour on the Lille or Paris Campus. The selected candidate will be part of the Department “Marketing and Sales”. At the earliest, the starting date would be January 2023, but can be postponed if necessary.

IESEG has 2 campuses: Lille Campus is in the heart of the Northern French city of Lille (within the triangle made up by London, Paris and Brussels). Paris Campus is located in the biggest European business district of “La Défense”, which is easily accessible by public transport. Faculty can live either in the center of Paris or in the numerous nice cities in the neighborhood (Levallois, Puteaux, Colombes) which offer lower cost of living and green areas. Both premises have an excellent classroom infrastructure as well as an energizing research environment. 

ABOUT THE MARKETING AND SALES DEPARTMENT

Over the last few years, faculty members have been successful in publishing their research papers in top-tier refereed international journals such as Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Consumer Psychology, Journal of Market Research. We maintain an excellent network with overseas institutions for collaborative work. The team is actively engaged in research with mentorship, participation to international conferences, invitation of top researchers at our premises and internal brownbag presentations. New hires in the department appreciate the support for teaching, research and relocation as they join as well as the warm and dynamic spirit in the team, which allow them to develop their skills. 

ABOUT THE POSITION

The applicant should hold a PhD or be very close to its completion. As joining our team, new professors are expected to be an active member of a dynamic group which demonstrates strong research skills. We will value willingness to pursue excellent research in Consumer Behaviour related topics. We welcome a broad spectrum of areas of expertise and encourage cross-disciplinary research. In addition, we increasingly focus on sustainability-related topics including ethical and green/sustainable marketing and branding practices. 

The school also promotes the development of strong teaching skills and/or professional experience. Prior knowledge of French is not required as all courses are in English. School provides French courses to faculty members if they wish. Good networks in both academia and professional circles at regional and international levels will be a plus. Applicants should embody the values of the school and be team players.

SALARY RANGE

The salary is competitive. Housing search assistance and financial support for relocation are provided by IÉSEG.
