The University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM) (www.uamont.edu) invites applications for a faculty position in marketing at the Assistant Professor level beginning in August 2022. 

A Ph.D. or D.B.A. is strongly preferred. Applicants with an ABD or MBA will be considered at the instructor level. Preference will be given to candidates with previous higher education teaching experience, both online and face-to-face, and industry experience.

The successful candidate will teach 12 credit hours a semester at the undergraduate level. Preferred instructional areas are Principles of Marketing and upper level marketing courses including Marketing Research, Marketing Communications, Channels of Distribution and Marketing Management. The Principles course is offered each semester. Other courses are scheduled once a year or on a two-year cycle.

The successful candidate will be expected to advise students, sponsor student organizations, and serve on departmental and university committees. Expectations for tenure and promotion include research/scholarly activities appropriate to a small teaching-centered School of Business. Collegiality, professionalism, effective communication skills, and a strong commitment to teaching excellence are necessary. As a member of the business faculty the successful candidate will be an integral part of the School and have the opportunity to shape the marketing and business programs.
