The School of Business and Education invites applications for a non-tenure-track, full time faculty in Marketing. Rank will be commensurate with education and experience. Candidates with a terminal degree and a substantive record of scholarship may be considered for a tenure track appointment. This nine month appointment will begin Fall 2022.

Position Responsibilities

We seek a broadly trained, student-centered individual who is committed to quality undergraduate teaching and who will provide learning-centered instruction focused on enabling graduates to fulfill the evolving needs of the marketplace. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in revising and updating the marketing program, and developing new courses and curriculum.

This position may require teaching in the following areas: principles of marketing, consumer behavior, advertising and promotional strategy, digital and Internet marketing, marketing research, and marketing strategy.

Other responsibilities include active program recruitment for the Marketing major, student advising, working with other faculty on program assessment and continuous improvement, committee service, attending departmental, school, and university meetings/functions, and performing other related duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

MBA/MS in marketing with relevant professional experience. Relevant teaching experience and evidence of teaching effectiveness are required. Candidates will be expected to show a willingness to embed issues of ethics and social responsibility into their courses, and demonstrate a genuine commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. Applicants should also have an active research agenda (or show promise) of publishing in their field.
