Full-time, tenure/tenure-track faculty position in Marketing within the University’s College of Business and Leadership. The faculty member is an academic professional committed to excellence in teaching, advising, scholarship, and service, who has and maintains academic competence in their field of expertise. Position Responsibilities

  • Fulfills faculty service requirements, per faculty handbook. 
  • Fulfills the expectations for faculty scholarship and creative/professional endeavor as outlined in the faculty handbook. 
  • Participates in academic department and college life, per faculty handbook. 
  • Participates in graduation exercises as required and appropriate. 
  • Prepares for and teaches course loads as assigned and with effectiveness. 
  • Provides academic advising to students as assigned. 
  • Provides spiritual mentoring for students and support for colleagues. 
  • Remains competent and conversant in academic discipline.
  • Reviews, understands, and follows the employee expectations enumerated in the faculty handbook. 
  • Understands and follows FERPA regulations. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

  • Academic credentials suitable for a tenure-track faculty role in higher education: this would be a terminal academic degree, usually a doctorate. 
  • Competence (or ability and willingness to acquire competence) with e-learning tools and software platforms. 
  • Competence in marketing theory and practice. 
  • Competence in strategic marketing. 
  • Competence in the operational and tactical elements of sales and advertising. 
  • Conceptual competence in marketing technology (CRM, etc.)
  • Demonstrated capacity for integrity, honesty, and principled behavior.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching, scholarship, service, and administration.
