Winona State University invites applications for the position Assistant/Associate Professor of Marketing. This is a probationary/tenure-track appointment with an expected start date of 8/15/2022. As a faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching undergraduate sales and marketing courses, such as Principles of Marketing, Market Analysis, Introduction to Professional Selling, Advanced Professional Selling, Sales Management, and/or other core and elective marketing courses per the needs of the department, with the opportunity to serve as the Director of the Strauss Center for Sales Excellence. Additional duties include: (1) instructing courses in varied locations, at varied times, and via various media commensurate with department and university needs; (2) engaging in scholarly research or creative achievement to enhance knowledge of field; (3) providing evidence of continuing preparation and study in the field to enhance teaching abilities; (4) contributing to student growth and development including student advising; (5) providing service to the university and community including the program, the department, the college, the university, and the greater community; (6) supporting Winona State University’s mission to enhance the intellectual, social, cultural, and economic vitality of the people and communities we serve; and (7) actively support the College of Business’s mission and maintenance of AACSB accreditation. 

Requirements

Minimum qualifications for this position are an earned PhD or DBA with a concentration in Marketing or related discipline (ABD considered if completed by August 2022), together with either having completed the degree within the past five years or having published at least two peer reviewed journal articles in the past five years OR a Master’s degree with a concentration in Marketing or related discipline and executive level experience in sales or marketing within the past five years.
