The School of Business at the State University of New York (SUNY) Geneseo invites applications for a full time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Marketing to begin August 2022. Duties of the position include:

  • Teach undergraduate marketing courses including, Marketing Research, Advertising and Promotion Management and Consumer Behavior
  • Work with faculty and students across campus.
  • Academic advising and mentoring of students.
  • Conduct and publish scholarly research.
  • Service to college, community, and discipline
  • Work with various stakeholders such as alumni, employers, business advisory council members for students’ professional development events.

Required Qualifications

  • An earned PhD/doctoral degree in Marketing from an AACSB accredited institution by the time of appointment. 
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively teach undergraduate marketing courses that include Marketing Research, Advertising and Promotion Management and Consumer Behavior.
  • Potential to establish an on-going program of scholarly research and publication in the area of marketing.
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive working/teaching environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with various stakeholders such as alumni, employers, business advisory council members for students’ professional development events.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A demonstrated commitment to excellence in undergraduate education, including advising and mentoring students.
  • A commitment to service to the school, college, community and discipline.
