Who we are: Located in beautiful, suburban Pike Creek, Delaware, Goldey-Beacom College is a private, co-ed institution with a rich history and high standards of educational excellence. Founded in 1886 and initially focused on equipping students for success in business, the College now offers programs in psychology, criminal justice, English, economics, and all areas of business. As an MSCHE and ACBSP accredited institution, Goldey-Beacom also offers master’s degrees in psychology and business and attracts a diverse student body from 22 states and over 60 nations. 

Responsibilities: We seek applicants with a desire to take an active role in enhancing the Marketing degree at Goldey-Beacom College. Faculty of the College are expected to deliver excellent teaching, maintain current pedagogical techniques, engage in research, and participate in a range of service opportunities at the College and in the community. Faculty are also encouraged to participate in the shared governance process.

Requirements

Required Qualifications: Applicants should hold a PhD or DBA in Marketing or a related field from an accredited institution. ABD’s are encouraged to apply but would be expected to complete their degrees within one year from the beginning of their appointment. Candidates are expected to demonstrate evidence of potential for strong teaching effectiveness and working successfully with a diverse student population.

Preferred Qualifications: Effective teaching experience in digital marketing and/or social media at the undergraduate and graduate level is preferred. A record of excellence in teaching and learning is desired, along with excellent communications and interpersonal skills. Published or forthcoming peer-reviewed publications in the marketing and related disciplines are a plus, as is prior work experience in digital marketing and/or social media.  Interest in interaction and relationship-building with local businesses, industry, and stakeholders is a plus, as well as having online teaching experience.
