The University of Tennessee, Haslam College of Business invites applications and nominations for a full-time, non-tenure track lecturer position in its Department of Marketing. This position involves preparing for and teaching seven undergraduate and/or graduate course sections per academic year and contributing through service to the department, college and university. Primary instructional responsibilities will be in broad marketing content areas to potentially include consumer behavior, demand management, marketing/brand strategy, with potential secondary teaching assignments in related areas. The candidate’s mix of job responsibilities is subject to change based on departmental needs.  The effective date of employment will be August 1, 2022 (or when filled).

Responsibilities:

The individual selected for this position will be expected to contribute to the department’s undergraduate (and graduate if successful candidate has a terminal degree) teaching mission, and through service to the department, college and university as assigned.

Qualifications

Required: Graduate degree in marketing or related field completed as of the starting date of employment.  

Preferred: The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. or terminal degree in marketing or a related field and a strong foundation and interest in the discipline of marketing. In addition, preference will be given to candidates with relevant experience as a business professional and/or as an educator.
