Job Description
Principle responsibilities will be teaching courses in the marketing major and business core, curriculum development, program/course assessment, student advising and participation in School and University academic governance. Promotion and tenure consider quality of teaching, scholarship, and service to community. This position is located in Fayette, Iowa.

Essential Duties Summary
1. Teaching load of 24 credit hours in four 8-week terms. UIU offers two 8-week terms each semester. 
2. Student advising 
3. Participation in University governance 
4. Active in recruitment activities including orientation, advising and registration days 
5. Participate in or conduct scholarly, artistic and/or professional development activities 
6. Participate in University, professional and community service 
7. Teach classroom in Fayette, also classroom in centers and online, in marketing and the business core 
8. Undergraduate and graduate curriculum review and development with consideration of all stakeholders 
9. Marketing major and emphasis assessment integration and analysis for recommendations to curriculum 
10. Maintain office hours 
11. Maintain efficiency in technology as appropriate for the industry 
12. Additional responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications
1. Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration (MBA) or Master’s degree in closely related business field 
2. Sufficient credit hours of course work in marketing at the graduate/doctoral level 
3. Progressive work experience in field of marketing. 
4. Supply chain management experience helpful.
5. Working knowledge of technologies used in marketing 
6. Demonstrate competence of current marketing trends 
7. Ability to pass background check.

Preferred Qualifications1. Preferred DBA or PhD in Marketing or closely related field 
2. Teaching traditional/non-traditional undergraduate and/or graduate face-to-face and online courses
3. Have the necessary experience to become department chair  

Physical DemandsTravel is expected to conferences, centers, etc. 
1. Standing for long periods of time (minimum of 1.25 hours) 
2. Sitting for long periods of time 
3. Work with personal computer, keyboard and mouse for long periods of time 
4. Mobility across campus 
5. Lift up to 30 pounds delivering materials, moving boxes, etc. 
6. Indoors 95% 
7. Hours as needed for teaching, service and scholastic development.
