North Carolina Wesleyan College invites applications for a 9-month tenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor starting August 2022.

Education: Earned doctorate or ABD in Marketing. Courses include Principles of Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Retailing, Services Marketing, Integrated Marketing Communications, Internet Marketing, Marketing Research and Marketing Strategy. Preference will be given to individuals with evidence of prior teaching excellence.

Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic individual who can connect well with our undergraduate marketing students. As a part of your overall commitment to teaching excellence, you will be well-versed in the appropriate use of technology and ready to contribute to innovative curriculum development and delivery. You will be expected to develop strong relationships with colleagues, inspire and prepare students through your teaching, and demonstrate a high level of organization and communication ability. The teaching load is four courses per semester. Additional responsibilities include advising students, engaging in scholarship or other appropriate professional activities, remaining current in the field, and engaging in service to the department, college, and broader communities. We seek professionals who are thoughtful and creative leaders who can add immediate value in the complex environment of private higher education.

College Description: The college is located in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, and serves approximately 1,700 students, including adult and professional students in the evening and online. The student body is diverse with regard to ethnicity, nationality, and age. In addition to teaching in the traditional day program, marketing faculty serve adult and professional students and employ innovative teaching approaches and personal attention.

Rocky Mount is in the eastern coastal plain region of the state, convenient to the Raleigh-Durham area and beaches, including the Outer Banks. Washington, DC and the mountains of North Carolina are also within easy driving distance.
