Department Summary

Position Summary
The Department of Marketing in the G. Brint Ryan College of Business at the University of North Texas (UNT) seeks applicants for a Clinical Assistant Professor of Marketing position that begins in January, 2022. 

Preference will be given to candidates who possess strong presentation, quantitative/analytical, and classroom-management skills; who demonstrate an ability to teach face-to-face and/or internet-based undergraduate and graduate courses; and who possess a strong background and/or the experience-based potential to teach successfully at the undergraduate or graduate level in two groups of courses.  
Group 1 consists of three courses – Advertising Management; Product & Brand Management; and Global/International Marketing.  
Group 2 consists of two courses – Marketing Metrics: and Marketing Research & Analytics. 

The successful candidate will also teach online on external platforms such as Coursera in which UNT already participates.  

The successful candidate need not be highly-qualified to teach each course listed above.  Preference, however, will be given toward candidates who are well-qualified to teach courses from each of the two preceding groups. Regardless of their research specialization, applicants are expected to be maintain an active research profile by periodically publishing referred journal articles and making presentations in academic conferences. 
The successful candidate is also expected to play a secondary role in service activities in the department such as committee work.

An offer of employment for this position will be made dependent upon available funding.

Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. in Marketing or successfully defended dissertation in Marketing or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited institution is required by time of appointment (January 1, 2022).

Potential for effective teaching the courses according to the department’s needs and priorities.

Potential to maintain an active research profile. 

Desire to work collegially with faculty from diverse cultural backgrounds.
