The Department of Business is seeking an Assistant Professor of Marketing and Management. This is a 9-month, full-time, non-tenure track position with a start date of August 1, 2022.

Responsibilities of the position include:

  • Develop and teach undergraduate Gateway, Common Core, and major concentration courses including Principles of Marketing, Social Branding and Media, Foundations in Business, and Management and Organizational Behavior
  • Teach 24 semester hours per academic year
  • Work collaboratively with department faculty to review, assess, and revise department curricula as appropriate, in line with departments student learning objectives
  • Advise program majors and minors as assigned
  • Collaborate with the Internship Coordinator and local businesses to develop meaningful internship opportunities for students
  • Participate in official College functions including Faculty Institute, Convocation, Honors Day, Baccalaureate, Commencement, and monthly faculty meetings
  • Participate as assigned on faculty committees, in departmental professional development meetings and/or workshops, and in special campus or community events

Requirements for the position include:

  • Master’s degree required; prefer PhD in Marketing from an ACBSP or AACSB accredited institution
  • Prior experience teaching undergraduate students is preferred
  • Commitment to best practice pedagogy and facility teaching in person, hybrid, and online classes

Physical Requirements

Position requires local travel. Ability to lift and carry files and materials. Ability to move from one office to another office on campus. Adequate vision, hearing and manual dexterity to interact with people in person, on the phone, virtual (requires long periods of sitting and or standing) and in writing. Job takes place in normal environmental conditions.
